MHA, conceived and founded by Michael J. Richardson, MD, former Keck – University of Southern California School of Medicine professor, and Harvard parent, works with ambitious and courageous students worldwide to optimize their opportunities, enhance their credentials and plan for their next academic level. Morningside Heights America is driven by students that take challenging courses, take calculated risks and pursue knowledge for the love of learning. Our students are defined by a strong work ethic. They build and promote collegial and personal relationships; and are determined to make a positive impact on the world through their chosen career.

Dr. Richardson, his partners and staff assist students put their best face forward in the admissions process.  Michael holds a medical degree from the University of California, Irvine — California College of Medicine — and was a member of their admissions committee. He subsequently completed an anesthesiology residency and fellowship training at the Keck – University of Southern California School of Medicine.  Not only helping students on several continents, Michael’s guidance assisted his own children gain admission to Columbia University’s Columbia College and the College of Physicians and Surgeons’ Institute of Human Nutrition. One of his sons even graduated from Harvard Medical School’s Master of Medical Sciences in Immunology program. To further his knowledge of the admissions process, Michael also earned the highly regarded graduate certificate in College Admissions Counseling from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), finishing at the top of his class. Dr. Richardson is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Associations (IECA), and gets tremendous pleasure assisting students apply strong and apply smart to their best fit, dream programs.

Dr. Richardson served as past presidents of both the Middlesex County Medical Society and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity Mu Boulè, and vice-president of the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists. Appointed to the boards of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Medical Society of New Jersey, Michael served with distinction serving both his patients and his profession. In his spare time, Dr. Richardson loves to travel to the Far East, study Karate, and Japanese language and culture. At Morningside Heights America, we are exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled; and furthermore, we are well positioned to assist you meet your college and career goals, and gain admittance to one of America’s great institutions.
